| Disney Visa Card??? I wasn't sure if this was the correct place to post this, so I apologize if it's not. I have seen Passporters mention it from time to time and I happened to get an application in the mail today...0% APR till Jan of 09! including balance transfers! So, those of you that have the Disney Visa, how does it work?? The info that came with it was rather vague....it only said 1 point per $100. Have you ever used points toward a vacation? Are there any other special perks? Will I get points for the balances I transfer?? Thanks for any input you can give!!

| Yes, you can use the points toward a Disney vacation, and there are lots of other special perks like a special meet-n-greet w/ characters in Epcot, and $ off of behind-the-scenes tours. I've also used mine toward merchandise from disneyshopping.com. This site should give you the info you need Disney Rewards Visa Card From Chase - Home |

| the rewards system is pitiful compared to most others (or at least no better), the interest rates aren't the best, but the benefits are good. and i do like chase.

| Well, the interest in comparable to one of my other cards and the other is a bit less but that one has zero rewards. The plan would be to have it paid off before the 0% interest was up anyway. Does anyone know about how many points you have to save before you can get any money off a vacation package??

| you need 20 points to be able to get a rewards card issued. and then a minimum of 10 to transfer to the card. any transferred points expire when the rewards card expires (about a year after issuance), untransferred points expire after 5 years

| On our last trip we had 200 points on our reward card. We used it to pay for dinner at Boma, and then bought several (ok - lots) of pins in DTD! The point is you can charge your vacation onto your chase card, and use those points while you are in Disney to buy souvenirs, meals, etc. And the limit per year is 750 points (hmmm only 75,000 to charge - don't think I have to worry about that!)

| One of the downfalls to the Disney Visa rewards points is that you can only use them on Disney related purchases. For this reason I've stopped using my Disney Visa and have changed to a different credit card company offering more points for my dollar and I can apply them to anything (including Disney).

| We have the Disney Visa card and use it as our primary card. We pay the bill off each month, so the interest rate doesn't matter to us.

| Unfortunately balance transfers and cash advances do not accumulate points but purchases do. You earn 1 point for every 100 you spend and those points, when transferred to a rewards cards equals $1 for every point (if you have 300 points, you have 300 dollars towards your vacation, etc). As for special perks, last year because I booked my Disney vacation with my card, the first few days of April when the free dining was announced, it was offered exclusively to Disney Visa card holders (I saved something like $900 because of the offer), then after 3 or 4 days, it was opened to the public. Same thing happened this year. I know there's a meet n' greet at Epcot for Disney Visa holders. Earlier this year, because of my card, I was able to purchase Disney on Ice tickets before the general public - and we got VIP seating - it was the 2nd row from the ice. Right now, I've been offered double points on purchases made at supermarkets, gas stations, restaurants and hotels - this works out because I put all my groceries and gas purchases on there anyway. My DH on his card, got a free subscription to the magazine Family Fun. Sometimes the perks vary, especially if you have more than one account (hence me getting double points but my DH getting the magazine)but they seem to work out really well for us.

| We have only one credit card - the Disney Visa through Chase. We pay it off every month, so we don't have the interest charges. I am going to claim my rewards for the first time in just a few days. I think it will pay for my food during my October trip to WDW!

| I have my own business and charge all my business expenses and purchases on it. I have to purchase a lot each month so it adds up. I shouldn't have to worry about the yearly limit but I do plan on not touching them for awhile and see how much of a cruise I can pay for in 2009.
