Are you a BN addict like me??

I love books and I love Barnes and Noble!! HOWEVER - my bank account is a little miffed at me for spending SO much money there... so instead of buying the newest books from my favorite authors - I am checking them out from the local library.

I love their website - I can go in and search the catalog and request books, movies, CDs, etc online and they will email me when they come in. So I am saving money by not buying books (that I would read once, put on a shelf and then have more clutter in my house) and save gas - since the library is closer to my house than BN is!!!

Books have always been a big downfall for me, too. As a teacher, I was always buying new childrens books. I have also become a fan of the public library.

I am always jotting down titles in B&N to see if the library has them.

Barnes & Noble, Borders and Amazon.com are all big weaknesses of mine. Since Chrissi turned me on to half.com I order from them too. Libraries are wonderful. I just have to work on my mindset a bit.

I love B&N and I have created a monster in Nick as well... I can't say no to him when he wants to buy a book... but I need to get all of us some library cards... come to think of it, I need to find the local library

Oh, I love B&N. We go to the bookstore - and they are thrilled to see us! The girls know all they have to do is ask, and I'll buy it - hey, any time I can get them reading and not watching TV or (gasp) spending time on the computer, I go for it.
My bank account is okay with it - but my DH is stumped as to how to stop me!
The sad thing is is that there is a used book store ACROSS the STREET from the B&N, and I pass a Half-Price Books every week!

Books are a big downfall for us as well, at least for the kids. I discovered our library this summer, since DD was going thru a book a day, and it's been a godsend. We still go to B&N and buy the occasional "treat", but not like we used to

We don't have B&N, but I the Borders experience (I think they're the same, if not similar?) I'm not too great about using my library card but I do buy my books second-hand, usually from Amazon. Nevertheless, I frequently end up with the $5 coffee whenever I walk into Borders.

Books are a huge downfall for me. Today we were in Borders--they had five check-out stands going and the line was about 12 deep--------------so books must be a big downfall for lots of people.

I love B&N and Borders. I signed up for Borders "rewards" card which I've gotten some pretty good discounts from.

I have a couple of friends that I book swap with. If we find a good book we just loan it out to each other rather than having to buy our own copy.

I am a BN addict too. Is there a 12 step program for us? DH always says - Have you ever heard of a library? I don't know, I just like having my own copies of the books!

Yup, I love Barnes and Noble and Borders too. Nancy and I meet up at Barnes & Noble to chat sometimes. We have also met up at Borders a few times.
