| July will be tough - have to pay for skylight/roof and new floor in family room. And trying to make as big a dent as I can in our August vacation (I'm responsible for paying for 8 of the 21 in our party!). But today - it was a zero day. Good luck everyone!!

| Welcome, Joanne, and welcome back, Lisa! ![]() Today was $11 for milk, half and half and bananas. I also paid a co-worker $5 for a homemade sourcream pound cake. It will be dessert for our BBQ Saturday. She just graduated from bakery school and she is a GREAT baker! Well worth the money! Today was PAYDAY! ![]() DH bought a cable that he thought he needed for our satellite, and it turned out he didn't need it, so we get to bring that back for a $30 credit. Yay!

| So for the rest of today (July 2) I spent an additional $7.85 for lunch as I didn't get my lunch packed due to our late fireworks night on Wednesday, but I have already packed most of my lunch for Friday, so we are good to go for tomorrow.

| I've already gone outside my budget for this month! ![]() My truck is in the shop and will cost over $800.00 to get it fixed! My daughter needed a new laptop for college and was $500.00 short so I helped with the rest. (Bank of mom will be paid back though) My son purchased a new bike and he was $320.00 short on it so I helped with the rest. (Bank of mom will be paid back though) Groceries to include 4th of July BBQ came out to be $320.00! ![]() My two dogs need to get into the vet for their shots etc....not sure how much that is going to cost me! And my DH is telling me his work truck need to get into the shop this month! It is going to be a tough month, not sure where I can tighten up our belt up for this month's budget. Out of everything I listed, the dog's care was the only thing that was suppose to be in July's budget! Here's to August....no wait, that is my DD's 18th Bday and my DH's bday who likes to think the month is his Bday.....LOL! I am dooooommmmmeeeddd!

| July 3 - so far today has been good. I packed breakfast & coffee and lunch from home. So no $$$. I did purchase a coffee this afternoon - $1.50. I needed the caffienne to get through the rest of the day. We are thinking of going to the drive in for a movie tonight - it will be the first time for the girls, they have the new ice age movie playing. cost if we go - $22 for the 4 of us. Oh, I also had to stop for gas for the car - $54.89 - but that's budgeted for. I actually saved $2.30 over buying it yesterday when I had planned to stop, since the price of gas dropped 4 cents per litre overnight (about 10 cents a gallon). An added bonus, since when I forget to stop, it usually goes up not down.

| Let's see, DH had the day off, and we planned to do somethings together. With him commuting, we don't always get to spend time together, so we are taking advantage of a three day weekend. Today was $26 for lunch. The we went to the record store and bought a whole bunch of 45's for our jukebox (we have a 1965 jukebox in our rec room that plays 45's, and every 6 months or so we take a trip to the used record store to see what they have. He also bought a bunch of DVD's, total was $80, but that was what I expected to spend. Then we went to a Farmer's Market and got a whole bunch of stuff. Spent about $110, but that came out of the grocery budget. On the way home, stopped at a restaurant supply place and he picked up a few things for his bar. $65. That was not in the budget, but what can I say. We had a really nice day, and we have lots of fresh fruit, meat and baked goods! Oh and pizza! ![]()
