| $20 on food - having no kitchen is now getting on my wick! DH and I have toured a couple of kitchen showrooms. All very expensive and I don`t really like them. We have asked a nephew if he`d like to build us a kitchen and he says he wants to but isn`t doing much about it. Normally DN designs and makes furniture which he sells through local galleries. Anyway the good news is that my high maintenance sister and family are arriving next week and I won`t be able to cook and host big family gatherings for them - every cloud has a silver lining

| $11 on 4-12 packs of Diet Coke (yay sale) and $42 on dinner (not bad for two steaks with two sides and a salad, an appetizer and 4 beers!). Tomorrow we're going to the lake - should be a $0 day for me.

| It "pays" to go to a conference with a nervous sister -- she's so happy to have me here, doing major hand-holding, that she's paid for everything since Thursday. (And DC is E.X.P.E.N.S.I.V.E.) We finish up with the awards ceremony tonight -- gaaaack! I hope she wins! -- and then we head home to the beach house tomorrow morning, where my expenditures will resume. Eileen

| $6 for cat food = one happy cat as I`ve had problems finding her favourite brand this week. DH asked what I`d like for my 50th birthday in September I said I`d like him to pay my airfare to WDW and he`s warming to the idea of a trip this December, which is only just as well as I booked the trip weeks ago!

| $100 on Sizzix dies for my die cut maker. Does it help that I "saved" nearly $300 on what I got??? ![]() They will be very useful for making gifts this year, so that will save some $$$ later on, plus I needed one for work and the "free shipping on $100" drove me over the edge. I promise I will take my lunch to work from now on.

| to your sister, Eileen!Yesterday we went out to dinner for our anniversary, $68. Today was $35 on dog food, doggie shampoo and a few other things. I went to the REALLY EXPENSIVE local grocery store because I didn't realize we were out of both food and shampoo. That'll teach me.
