| Well this month is going to be tough for us. DD's 2nd birthday is on the 10th and I'm going out today to order her cupcakes, cookies and party decorations. Then I have to go order her swingset (group gift) but still $$. Ugh, maybe next month will be better.

| Hoping July won't be too expensive! My grandmother's 80th birthday is on August 2nd, so her gift will probably come out of July funds. However, she has made it very clear that she needs and wants nothing - and she's not the type of lady that says that and really means "get me stuff" : so I doubt we'll do anything too big at the risk of making her mad. It's also one of my best friend's birthday on 7/16, but we stopped doing big gifts a few years ago. Today I'm home sick. That should mean $0 day, although I am mailing out the check for my car taxes.

| I have two... no threee... no FOUR events that could be pricey this month:
All but the iPhone is budgeted for, but he's been secretly saving here and there and I totally want to indulge him -- he's worked so hard this past year. Today will also not be a $0 - I'm going to the Sanrio store (for bento stuff), taking my DS out for lunch, going to a Game Stop (his money) and a fabric store for a present. Eileen

| Going to try to get into the swing of cutting extra spending out this month. We do have some big things going on this month: Lauren goes to camp - already paid for, but there is a costume dance and we need to get that taken care of Kathryn is getting her lisence, so we need to pay for it, plus the insurance increase FiL's 75th b-day. DSis's b-day Niece is being induced tomorrow Lauren has Jr. Olympics at the end of the month/first of August We don't actually have a budget. We have always just done a "If I need or even want it, pay for it" I think we need to start a realistic budget that we can cope wiht, but will force us to save/pay down bills faster/be more fiscally responsible. |

| I need to jump on board too. Can I join y'all? I have a pretty good Suze Orman based budget, but we've gotten the news that there are no bonuses or pay raises this year. I'm comfortable now, but I work with too many smart economists who are talking about double digit inflation next year. So, I really want to sock it away now so I don't have a problem later. Meaning, I'd like to come in below all of those little line items in my budget that are flexible. July should be OK. I've got my sister's b-day, a wedding gift for some friends, and a trip to Southern California for ComicCon for Zack (don't ask .) But the big unknown is a possible puppy purchase, which I've budgeted for slightly less than a newborn baby.

| This month is going to be big, with a capital "B". Dd's 11th b-day, DM's 73rd b-day, dog's vet appt, and a major surgery (tomorrow!) for me. (Any "quick recovery pixies" tossed my way wouldn't go to waste! Zero dollar today, btw! ![]()

| Welcome aboard, Karen! ![]() Today was surprisingly a $0 day. And I got a refund check for $74 from our insurance company for some work that was not fixed right the first time and needed to be repaired at my mechanic. They paid for it! ![]() This weekend might be a little pricey, but we have some fun things planned, and I have tried to budget for them. We have to enjoy the sumemr while it's here! ![]()

| I think I'll try to jump in here on occasion. So, saving, huh? Well, my hours have been reduced by about 3 each week, which may not sound like much, but I make a decent hourly wage. In any case, I have decided to not reduce my savings contributions - weekly to a Christmas Club and what I like to call my "WDW" savings. I will be more diligent about NOT buying lunch out (it's so easy, but expensive) this month. I have $200 put aside for our annual BBQ at the end of the month.

| I fell off the wagon for the last couple of months and I really noticed a difference in our bottom line, so I am back on board. Having said that, I'm not going to include yesterday (July 1) as it was Canada Day, and we went to a rib fest needless to say very expensive. That day is gone and I can't get it back, so moving forward... Today - After a late fireworks night last night, I really needed a coffee this morning, so $1.73 for coffee, so far today.
