| Insurance!! I've not had insurance for quite a while. DH's job hasn't offered it until recently, and we've had to buy privately. Privately bought insurance doesn't like it if you're Pooh sized. They won't cover me (even though I'm healthier than DH!). So, the college I've been attending became a University this year - and one of the big perks of that is they now have student insurance! We can insure me through the school for $575 a YEAR!! That's less than it would cost for 2 months through DH's job! Just a head's up for those of you who have no more kids at home, but they're in college - it could be much cheaper to keep your insurance for just yourself, and put the kids on a policy through their university. Or, for those who like me are older adults in university. |

| If you have good coverage through the school insurance then that's a great deal.

| They'll actually cover DH and the kids - we've been crunching numbers off and on all day - it may be cheaper to insure them through me now - kind of a cool feeling, that I've got something to offer the family. |

| The university I work at requires students to have health insurance - the logic is that we don't want students to have a medical emergency that causes them to drop out of school due to medical bills. If you aren't insured on your own (or your parents') policy, you're automatically billed for the university's policy - $300/semester. Not really a bad deal and it's decent insurance. The only catch is you're not insured during the summer.

| That's a great deal. MY DD's school is $2000./yr so it's cheaper to keep her on the policy provided by her dad's work, which includes dental. You also reminded me that DS2 may be able to go back on when he starts grad school next month. |
