| Slipping in September or September Savings Hi everyone! Sorry I got this out a little late today. For me, it will be dipping into the savings for September. All the money that DH and I have built up outside of the emergency fund is ready to be spent for the new house. We close on Friday and move 10/2/09. I already started off the month spending $200.00 on two barstools for the breakfast bar, a stainless steel trash can for the kitchen, and new wicker hampers. Hope everyone has a successful month! ![]()

| I need to save money!!! My goal is to save $2000.00 by February or I might have to dip into my 401K for my next vacation. I know thats bad but I have plans. Just wish me luck.

| September should definitely be a savings month for me - it's the first month back at my part-time job. I start tomorrow. I picked up my August check yesterday (very very tiny), and it didn't go too far in reimbursing dh for the various things I've been charging during the summer. I am now caught up through what I bought for Father's Day gifts.

| Should be a better month for me now that the vacation is over! $115 at BJs to stock up today, and $25 at the food store.

| It's going to be a slipping month here - but for positive reasons! August was filled with getting stuff that the kids ?need? September is going to be expensive - but for good reasons. I'll be putting tires on my car before the snow falls (safety!), I'm hopeful that I'll pay Sarah's dance bill in full for the year to get the discount. We plan to stock up on coal for the stove, and fill up the oil tank before the price goes up. I think that's it for now, but we'll see. Tonight didn't get off to the best start. I brought my lunch to school today - no money spent - and I resisted the urge to buy a Dunkin Donuts coffee. Would have been a zero dollar day - but Sarah came home practically crying because her cleats that she said were fine were too small. Why do teenagers want to be x-tra small in everything, when they are sized just right? So - off to Littleton to pick up new cleats at Olympia ($28 after discount), and we hit Walmart to replace Jessie's tie out since the hook was not working. Bought a few dog treats and some cake stuff for cupcakes for Thursday - total $19.

| I am thinking that it should be a better savings month for us as I am back to work and we should be able to save most of what I make. Today was a $0 day!

| Well, I have some recurring expenses this month - a hair cut and color on Friday (first cut since May, first color since Feburary!), an oil change for my car, Dad's 60th birthday. Next week also starts my travel season - I usually end up putting money in my pocket from meal per diems, but it takes a couple of weeks to get reimbursements so it's money out of my pocket at first. I'm happy to get out on the road though - tired of being in the office and could use the extra $. $38 on groceries tonight.

| Hi all!! I am ALMOST done with the major travel - Woo Hoo!! We paid off the dining room table set we bought last Nov - and managed to pay it off 3 months early!! I am SO proud of us. We continue to save for the wedding and I continue to look for ways to save (which are few and far between). Additionally - I just fixed my travel voucher from Seattle - since I forgot to claim the $39.00/day parking - which came to $549.00!! And it looks like I can keep all of it - so it all goes into the wedding saving account. I started teaching my online course for ONE student and I have 14 students registered for my fall class... and that money will also come in handy for the wedding. I paid off two accounts - and am starting on a third. My goal is to use any raise I get this year (added to what I got last year) to pay for the wedding, and then in April I will take that $300+ each month added to the amount I've been making on the other two accounts, and hopefully be debt free, except for the house and student loan, by the end of the year.
