| Scott, it is VERY overwhelming at first to see all that you owe written out. I know. But I promise you it is worth it. Every time you pay off a bill you will feel fantastic and it will give you the motivation to keep going. You can do this!!!

| We're very overwhelmed with debt. too, this is the first I'm hearing of this dave ramsey thing, so I will check it out as soon as i'm done posting. We have cut up all our credit cards but now the problem is, is that Christmas is coming and we have two little one's so I'm not sure what's going to happen with that. I'd like to say that I won't use any credit cards but there's no extra so I'm a little stuck right now. Hang in there, it's very hard but the fact that you 're deciding to do something about it instead of just ignoring it, is a step in the right direction! stay strong, it's just like everything else one day at a time, if you look at it that way, than it's not soooo overwhelming. Please keep us posted, I'd like to hear how you're doing and any tips to share!!!

| Scott your not alone!! I am restarting Dave Ramsey myself. I started last year and was doing well, but somehow stopped. Wish I didn't now. Don't forget to set up your $1,000. emergency fund. I found when I had it before, it did seem to end murphys law with things going wrong. Unfortunatly I used some of it on my vacation in April/May with the intentions of putting it back when I got back. That never happened due to car problems ugh.k I know you can do it!! Just remember it will take time, but it will go down if you keep at it. Don't get discouraged, we are all here for you!!

| Good luck!! We did this after I finished nursing school. We had 3 kids and hubby was the only one working. When there was no $$$ for diapers and formula...it went on the credit card. It took us a bout 3 years to get out of debt and save some money...but now we are sitting pretty good. We didn't do much for 3 years, but now we can do alot! it was worth it!!

| I feel your pain. We are doing the program too. And it's hard. We are hoping to have everything paid off within five years. I have a post too about cutting up our credit cards.

| debt is so painful and affects so many parts of life. I have no idea what the Dave Ramsey snowball programme is i will be googling it later! I think once you see it all written down and internalise the realisation that you need to cut back I think thats half the battle! best of luck Scott
