When do you sort your saved up coins?

I sort mine as I go. I have 4 of those popcorn buckets from Disney world and I put quarters in one, Dimes in another, Etc. I figure once they are full or maybe half full, I will then roll them and deposit them in the bank to pay on debt.

Do you sort as you go? or when your ready to roll?

I now save them until I have a few shoe boxes full.

My wife likes me to roll them so we can stick them in the bank.

I like to go to a coin counter at the local store.

My wife wins!!!

So the next time I am ready to deposit(In February)

we will spend a while counting coins.

We have 2 different containers. One for just quarters for Disney World trips and the other with the rest of our change for whatever. We roll the whatever change whenever we need it.

I keep mine in the car for parking meters. some take credit cards but I had having $.50 charges.

My middle son empties his pockets all over his room. Twice a year or so, I will go in and gather it up and bring it to the coin counter at the credit union. He usually has over $100. 00.

We have been saving change since we came back from WDW in July and we aren't going to sort until we go back next August. I told my grandson all the change is for him for vacation and now he looks all over the house for loose change. It really adds up when you throw all your change at the end of each day into a piggy bank or container.

I also keep mine in a Disney popcorn bucket. When it get's full I count them and take them to the bank. I had a savings account strictly for my coins, but I closed it out as it was getting ridiculous low amount of interest. So I moved it into my other savings account.

Sometimes we go to Coinstar, sometimes just to the bank. Usually though, we end up having 50-60$ worth at a time.

We wait until the container's full, then bring it to the bank where they have a machine to sort them for us for free.

We have a container for quarters and the rest goes in a gigantic wine bottle my mom had for a long time. When it's full, we have about $100. The quarters get used periodically for newspapers, etc. but any extra always goes into the cruise fund.

I sort and roll as I go. I have a battery operated machine that sorts the change in to tubes that hold the correct amount for a roll and when a tube is filled I just put the contents in to a paper coin tube.
