Yeah!!!! Got paid Monday, so I went and bought $50 worth of Disney gift cards to start our vacation fund! I'm so excited. I have our ticker set up to keep track of what we are saving. I really hope that we are able to do this trip! I am so ready for a family (just the three of us) vacation!

When ever I get a "windfall" (like the reimbursement of $33 or dollars I'm expecting) I will be buying a gift card. May have to add a little to round up to $25, $45 or $50 as those are the increments I have seen here at Carrs or Fred Meyers.

Congrats on starting your savings! I have a question about the gift cards. Is there now just one gift card that works at WDW, DLR, and Disney Store? I looked it up at the Disney Store online, and that's what it sounds like. I think that's a great way to save up, and I'm thinking about doing the same thing!

I just read the back of the cards that are at Fred Meyer's. The cards say that they are good at the resorts, at the parks, at Disney.com and at the Disney Store.

Good start! I got out the old change jar over the weekend to start throwing extra change in. Not sure if we're heading back in 2012 or 2013 yet, but it's never too soon to start!!
