I have read several post about using reward points but I have a question. Can I redeam them and purchace a gift card at my local Disney store? I think I have read that the gift cards do not expire. Would this be a good way to use my points before they exprire? Thanks in advance.
You can do that I believe. The rewards points that you have on your account don't expire for about 5 years after you earn them, you can check your statement and it will break down your points available, showing their expiration date. Now, when you cash in your points on a redemption card, they will expire quicker. Any points left on the card will be lost after the expiration date. I think that you get at least a year before the redemption card expires. I got my last card in the summer of 2010, it does not expire until the end of this year.
