JCPenney no longer has sales, but have Month long values, so yeah, you will get a catalog/flyer every month, but no longer the weekly ones for weekly sales that always change.

I sure hope this doesn't mean that we will be posting here next year saying, "Boy remember when JCPenny first started this lower price thing, they had great prices on their regular items...now the quality of their products aren't as good as they used to be." Please please please let it just be the prices that are changing and don't let them start ordering junk! That's where I buy the majority of my clothes! Anyone else have a feeling that this is to good to be true?

I'll miss their "One Sweet Sales". Nothing like a chocolate bar wrapped in a coupon to brighten your day.

And, yes, I"ll be very happy when they stop playing the screaming ads.

I haven't been paying attention to any of it, but from all the info posted here, I am curious to check out my local JCP.

Well, I went into our local Penney's store on Saturday. Some items were priced really well, but there were other items that I felt were a little overpriced and with no sales, those prices won't go down. I guess this will be a gotta look and see if you can find a bargain store for us. I did notice that they have scaled back in the amount of clothes they have. There was a lot more "space" between all the clothes racks than I have ever seen there. Wonder if it will continue to be like that.

I was looking online and I noticed the same thing. When I went in the other day the sweaters were 6 and 7 dollars, but online they were all in the high 20's and 30's. Definitely not what I would call good prices. I have a feeling this isn't going to go over well for them.

Went into my local JCP and was very unimpressed. The prices were OK and the store looked kind of empty. The most horrifying thing to me was that the clearance racks are gone!! And they don't have a clearance section online anymore. Without great sales to entice me I think I'll stick to Kohls

My local one still had the clearance racks labelled clearance. Got a nice pair of capri jeans for $9 2 weeks ago. Also got a nice screen printed tsirt and a hooded zip up sweatshirt. Total for all 3 items was $25! I also went through the clearance racks in the boys department and got 4 pairs of pants, 4 shirts and 1 pr of pjs for $51 total for DS.
