My cleaning lady does a heavy cleaning about every 2-3 weeks. In between her visits, I wipe down the countertops (kitchen and bathrooms) with Lysol wipes every other day. I do dishes daily and laundry at least once a week.

When I was at my house, I swept and mopped the floors on a weekly basis. The restrooms were cleaned or at least sprayed down twice a week. The kitchen was constantly kept clean because I always cooked and baked. My DD "Charlie" was in charge of washing dishes and vacuming her room, along with putting her clothes away when I was done washing them. JG, my 4yo son, would run back and forth taking his undies and socks to his drawers from the laundry.

I have been staying with Rae for a few months now, and have left my house to itself, but will go clean it every so often. At Rae's house, I sweep daily; especially since Eliza is crawling around now. I help wash clothes every week, and will do the dishes every other day.

I’m a bit of a neat freak so I straighten up the house every day, making sure there’s no clutter. Also, I vacuum the kitchen, living room, and sofa daily because our dog loses so much hair. We have granite tiles on the entire first floor so that’s easy to keep clean. I only mop it every other week or so since most of the dirt can be vacuumed off.

It’s only DH and me so laundry is manageable, probably a load or two every other day. Since, I iron pretty much any piece of clothing, though, it feels like I’ve got my ironing board out every day!

I wipe down the kitchen counters several times a day, pretty much anytime I prepare something, I clean them afterwards. The dishwasher runs at least every other day, and anything I can’t put in there gets washed right away (I can’t stand dirty dishes lying around.).

The bathrooms are getting cleaned once a week (which is plenty since it’s just DH and I). All the rooms upstairs are getting cleaned once a month or so – not much dirt/dust there since we’re really only upstairs when we sleep. I clean all our windows about 4 times a year, and I also “spring clean” our entire house once a year.

DH’s in charge of taking out the trash, washing our cars, and taking care of the backyard in the summer (all weekly chores).

I buy store-brand cleaning supplies so they’re fairly inexpensive.

Try to keep things straighted up. The floors always need to be cleaned with the Grandkids each day. Bathroom is straightened but toilet is wiped down quite a bit. With little boys they miss a lot. Stuff gets done as it needs to get done. I wash and fold put the clothes away which is about everyother day unless I have kids here and need to do it everyday. Toys are usually put in place but not always.

Dishes are done daily
Vacuum about every other day (2 pugs)
toilets once a week
dust and mop every 2 weeks

it's just me here so I pretty much just pick up after myself as I go.

On a daily basis, I make the bed, spray down the shower, and usually do at least one load of laundry. I wash towels every 2 or 3 days and sheets once a week on Saturday. In fact Saturday morning is cleaning time with vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning both the kitchen and bathrooms. When the clean demons hit me, I purge going through every drawer, cabinet and closets. This usually happens at least 2 to 4 times a year. With the warmer winter we've had the demons hit earlier than normal, and I've already taken care of the kitchen, both bathrooms, the living room, and master bedroom. But there is still plenty left for spring break. Cleaning the garage frustrates me as it seems to be dirty within days of our cleaning it.

Funny, that's exactely what I do! Even though I'm not a big fan of cleaning, I LOVE going through all the drawers, cabinets, and closets at least once a year! I have a system where anything I haven't used in over a year either gets thrown out or given away. That way, our house never gets cluttered.

I have a two bedroom apt that i share with my boyfriend. I'm a bit OCD so i'm kinda extreme when it comes to cleaning. Everyday i handwash the dishes and try to straighten up any clutter laying around. I windex my glass kitchen table daily. On the weekends I do a thorough cleaning including, laundry (iron and wipe down top of washer/dryer if necessary), vaccuum and mop(with my swiffer wetjet) kitchen, entryway and bathroom floor. The type of flooring in those places is a type of linoleum, cheap-o flooring so it's hard to get clean sometimes I will actually use my lysol 4 in 1 or chlorox clean up spray to wipe the floors with paper towels with (yes i realize that is a bit overdoing it but sometimes the swiffer doesn't pick up everything!) Vacuum the rest of the apt. (minus my bf's room, his room is a disaster!). Clean counters in the kitchen with either lysol 4 in 1 or chlorox clean up. Clean oven surface, Clean microwave if it needs it. I will occasionally clean the refridgerator and take everything out and spray it down and scrub because things mysteriously spill in there. I have a bookshelf in my dining room(area) that i have a lot of my boxed, canned goods, snacks, cereal, etc. on because i don't have much cabinet space in my apt due to it being handicapped accessible (i'm in a wheelchair). The cabinets are down lower but i have less cabinets than the other units because they removed some to make it easier to roll under the sink and area for the microwave. I will occasionally reorganize the bookshelf because things get thrown on there sometimes after going grocery shopping. I also scrub the sink in the bathroom with lysol or chlorox as well as the outside of the toilet and i scrub the toilet with lysol toilet bowl cleaner. I do my bathtub/shower as well with scrubbing bubbles and i will sometimes scrub the tile above my bathtub with a toothbrush and tilex mold/mildew spray because it builds in my bathroom really easily.

I also end up reorganizing my dresser a lot due to it being pretty small and things get shoved in there and messy during the week. The weekends are my time to get all the cleaning done and usually i get it done in one day but this weekend it was rainy and i decided to stay in and reorganize my bookshelf/pantry and clean out the refridgerator, and do a thorough cleaning of the tile in my bathroom because a lot of mildew had built up.

Hmm.....I think i'm a bit obsessed with cleaning. If my apt isn't clean i get stressed out!

I clean the bathrooms every Saturday morning and do laundry about three times a week. Every Saturday I give the kitchen a thorough scrubbing and sweep all the wood floors and wash the bed linens. It seems like a never-ending job but its worth it.
