Ok, we started our budgets for January. We are now a month into 2013 and some of us find we need a little fine tuning to our budgets. Some of us...meaning me lol.... need to start sticking more to the budget. Good luck all!!
Trying to jump on here again as much as possible.
Today was $5.30 for lunch at Wings to Go
$30 something for gas
$3 for lottery tickets
$1.25 for a Diet Dr. Pepper from vending machine at work
Saturday
$8 on Girl Scout Cookies. I couldn't help it. Those poor girls and the mom were freezing. They should get a lot of business for standing out in the cold.

from a troop leader we really appreciate your support!
2/1 - major grocery shop $144 at the health food store, $300 at the supermarket (it always seems more expensive when I take DH shopping).
2/2 - $0. #1 for the month.
My goal for the month is to hit 14 $0 days (I loved Sabine's goal of 50% of the month in January). My goal is off to a rough start:
2/1: $25 co-pay (need)
$20 hair cut for DS (need) I way over tipped, his cut is only a few dollars, but he threw such a fit in the chair, the poor girl really had difficulty doing her job!
2/2: $134 grocery shopping (need)
$59 gas (need)
$340.88 Amazon shopping (want) -- My Nook died so I bought a Kindle Fire...I'm really excited, even if the cost is difficult to swallow!
My goal for the month is 12 no spending days. I think I would have hit it last month, but I forgot my lunch on a few days.
I have not had the best start to the month.
2/1 drinks and dinner with hubby $38.77 - not a need, but oh so worth it!
2/2 major shopping trip
Menard's for tile samples $4.51 (need)
Bedding from Kohl's $45.92 (need/want)
Personal care items and cleaning items from Target $58.64 (need)
Food and tax software from Sam's club $187.07 (need)
I need to keep track, do I'll try this, again.
Yesterday: $4 dunkin donuts...my ds and I do this every Friday, its our treat for making it through the week-want
Lunch: also a Friday treat, $8-want
$11 between KFC and mcd's for dinner-want
$7 at CVS for tissues and soda, in our house this qualifies as a need.
2/2: $80 groceries-need
$7 at Dollar Tree for household stuff-need
$2.13 mcd's-want
I'm going to give this a shot again. Last month was by far the worst month for me to start; with printers breaking, tires needing replaced, puppy having incontinence and many other large expenses it was a tough month. Luckily hubby is on a trip and makes a lot more and we covered it all with cash.
2/1
$60.85 for matching t-shirts for our trip in April (50% off at Zazzle ) paid out of our Disney savings account (want)
$35.02 Friday night dinner at local restaurant (want - we eat out typically Friday nights, Sunday after church and Tuesday's at Taco Bell when we are in town)
Saturday
$8 on Girl Scout Cookies. I couldn't help it. Those poor girls and the mom were freezing. They should get a lot of business for standing out in the cold.
I also want to thank you for supporting Girl Scouts. My DD is a Girl Scout (and I am a leader) and we spend most of our time Jan-Mar selling cookies. I have always bought one box of cookies from every girl who asks me. When my DD was little she didn't understand why I bought from other girls but as she got older she likes to be the one to go to the girl and buy them. She likes supporting the other troops.
Welcome back, everybody! I'm trying for 50% $0-days again this month.
2/1: $2.50 for coffee at McD for DH (want), $17 for lunch at Subway for both of us (want), $226 on groceries and dog food (need; but ouch!)
2/2: $8 on flowers for my mom (want), $85 for dinner at a restaurant (want; we do an expensive dinner like this maybe once a month but I'm always shocked how expensive it really is!)
2/1: $126. at Best Buy for a printer. My old one which was about 10 years old jammed and I could not unjam it. (want/need) $4. at Dunkin Donuts for a coffee and donut. (want) $13. at Target for some needed items.
2/2: $12. at Target for some more needed stuff I needed. $5.28 at Dunkin Donuts for Breakfast on the way to work. (need/want)
2/3: $14. at Target for my prescription and contact solution. (needs). $2.60 at Dunkin Donuts for coffee and donut. $4.00 at my niece and nephews school for snacks and 2 carnation flowers. My niece and nephew were in their schools production of Wizard of Oz. During the intermission they sold snacks and flowers to benefit their program. I of course had to do my part to support them. I gave a flower to my niece and nephew.
