Thanks

Thanks to all of you budget conscious Passporters. I was doing some research prior to my trip in 11 days and read about the hotwire savings club so decided to look into it. Whew! Am I ever glad I did!

I had gotten good hotel deals from the hotwire site so I thought this was worth a try. After checking prices from Mousesavers on the UPH (I had intended to buy at the resort) I saved over $300 by getting PHPs from hotwire savings. It sure would have been an expensive mistake. I still save about $70 over advanced purchase prices so I'm a happy camper.

Unfortunately, I didn't find this site early enough to order meal vouchers. I thought the 7-10 day shipping period was a bit too close for comfort. There's always next year.

It looks like I might even be able to use the savings club to save on some early birthday and Christmas gifts. The teens especially like gift cards/certificates so they get exactly what they want.

All these extra savings will go right into the vacation fund for next year's trip.

Re: Thanks

I use my membership to hotwiresavingsclub to buy lots of gift cards not for gifts just to use myself. It basically adds up to an extra 20% off on most cards. I keep a bunch on hand for restaurants in our area and toy stores. It really is a great savings. I bought our Disney passes, meal vouchers, busch gardens tickets and a bunch of movie tickets through them, too. I thought at first that this was all too good to be true, but I have yet to have any problems.

I'm glad to hear that you feel the membership is worthwhile. I really like the idea of the gift card too.
The movie tickets seem like a good deal as well.
