| Re: bus problems? Renting a car will likely save you time traveling to all theme parks (except the MK as Sue detailed) from just about any Disney resort. There are few exceptions to that rule. MGM is about 20 minutes away from the BoardWalk on foot, and most days I could drive there quicker from Saratoga Springs.
That said, I believe SSR has some of the better bus service on site. AFAIK there are 3 stops within SSR--which is a good thing because it means you don't have to walk far from your guest room--and they are all in a loop. It maybe takes 5 minutes to hit them all. Busses aren't shared with other resorts which is frequently the case elsewhere.
You'll still have good experiences and bad as far as wait times go, but that's the case everywhere.
Unless it's cost-prohibitive, we always try to rent a car no matter which resort we stay at. The time savings adds-up over an entire trip. |
