Add-on question I could call my guide and ask this, but I don't want to bother him-- plus right now there's a question as to who our guide is. Someone called and said he was our guide, but it wasn't the guy who sold the DVC to us. Anyway, my question is I know you needed to make that first minimum purchase of 150 points. Now if we want to add on, is there a minimum-- can I just buy 25 or 30 points at AKL??? Does it have to be in increments of 25 or 50?? Thanks so much! I know I ask tons of questions (sorry)!!

Re: Add-on question You can buy any amount over 25 points. If you want to finance it must be at least 50 points. There used to be a minimum threshold of 100 points to take advantage of any special discount offers, but more recently that minimum is 50. Some promotions have higher minimums. For example, her would be the pricing on SSR points right now: 25-49: $101 per point 50-114: $91 per point 115+: $86 per point Also note that owning at a resort only gives you the 11 month booking advantage for the number of points you own at THAT resort. If you add-on 25 points at AKV, you can only use those 25 points to book at 11 months each year. You could still make a small add-on work with the banking and borrowing rules. For instance, if you used banked points, current year points and borrowed from the next year on a 25-pt AKV contract, you would have a total of 75 points to use at 11 months every 3 years.

Re: Add-on question Thanks! I did understand the 11 month thing (thanks!), I figured though if we wanted to stay in a studio for a few days with banking and borrowing we could probably make it work. I'd actually rather add on at SSR, though we'll probably be waiting until the spring to buy the extra points (I don't want to finance any add ons-- we've financed enough) and I didn't know if SSR will still be available then. Thank you!
