DVC discounts on room rates??

I am planning to stay at the WLV next August using my points and then I plan on extending my stay there for an extra 3 days. Do they give discounts to DVC members to stay there without using points? If so, what type of discount? Thanks!!!

We extended our stay at BCV last summer and didn't realize you could get a discount. We originally added it through regular Disney reservations, but then we called Member Services and they gave us a pretty big credit. I don't remember the exact amount but it was over $100 cheaper for a 1 bedroom.

We've always just paid out of pocket for the rooms.

If available, 25% discount, I think.

You might be better off paying cash for the weekends and using your points for the weekdays. The rack rate is the same whether weekend or midweek, but, of course, there's a big difference in point cost.

If there's availability, then you can get a 25% discount. We got that for a Friday and a Saturday night stay last October.

How do you check if the 25% discount is available or not?
