| Everyone who attends receives some sort of merchandise for free..something like a DVC baseball cap, lanyard or window sticker. And they offer larger prizes to those who participate in trivia contests or win a drawing. You may find out a few new things about your membership. Aside from that it's basically a soft-sell method of marketing add-on contracts. If that sounds like a reasonable trade-off for an hour of your time, go for it.  We went to one back around 2004 and haven't been back since. It's certainly nothing I would make a special effort to attend, or re-arrange a schedule for. Hope that helps.

| We went to the ones they're hosting now at the Boardwalk Villas (over at the Atlantic Dance Hall) in June. We didn't actually get to see the "spiel," because they were having technical difficulties that day, but we did get to meet Miss Deevy-See!  The boys meet Deevy! She was a lot of fun - very entertaining, and she explained that normally what they're doing on Welcome Home Wednesday's (when all audio equipment is working) is have a sort of quiz show with members getting to participate and win prizes. We did end up getting some great "green" DVC shopping bags since they weren't actually doing the event that day. I'd recommend it if you've got some extra time to kill, or you need a break from the parks (but if you're on a tight schedule, skip it!).

| We have gone back and forth on going every trip but we are staying at BWV so I'm going for sure this year! I love swag! Considering how often you guys visit the World (she says in a very envious tone) it is probably worth having a peek.

| My Mum has been wanting to go for a while now, and since we'll be there over 2 Wednesdays in this trip, I think we'll try to get to it (or at least send her, lol). Thanks for the info! Beth

| I would say it is something to do once , then you will have to be the judge . I like it just like a game show , but once was more then enough for me .
