? about pool hopping

Being a DVC member I know we are allowed to pool hop at certain resorts, but what about if we have dining reservations at Chef Mickey's and then head over to MK on the monorail. Would we have a problem with the parking pass since they only give you about 3 hours? How would they know if you were using the pool or using the monorail to MK? Don't want to do anything that would upset anyone...

I would not count on being able to use a resort's parking lot to pool hop or visit a nearby theme park. Particularly since DVC discontinued the free valet parking perk a couple weeks ago, they have been much more diligent about policing the self-park lots due to an increase in resort guest traffic.

I would expect that you will be given a 3-hour pass and have to respond accordingly.

If you want to pool hop to the GF or Poly after your Chef Mickey's meal, I'd suggest just parking at the TTC and using the monorail to get around...including the trip to the CR for your meal.

That would be my advice - or you could always pay for valet parking. That's another option...

Could I pay for valet at the Contemporary for dining at Chef Mickey's and then go on the monorail to MK without a problem?

I'm not sure but can we pay for valet parking if not staying at the hotel? We paid for Valet parking while at the Contemporary (before BLT) and it was charged to the room. As DVC members we never paid for it if we went to another DVC resort to eat. Now that it isn't free, I don't know how valet parking works for us in a situation where not staying at the resort.

We've had to pay for valet parking in the past at the Grand Floridian (can't remember why) and we just paid cash when we picked the car up. They didn't ask us anything about where we were staying, just asked for our name and took the car.

I dont see why you cant use Valet, as they dont ask if you are a guest staying there, going in to eat, or just going to see the resort and shop.

drive to the CR for Chef Mickey's - then drive over to the Polyn - tell the security guard you are a DVC member and pool hopping. He may let you in, or not.

if not - then definitely go park in the TTC and take the tran to the TTC and either walk over to the Polyn or ride the monrail.

valet parking is still free for HC.
