| DVC Newbie with ?'s We are thinking of selling our Worldmark timeshare and buying into DVC. What is the going rate for points right now and how should we go about doing all this? We want to be able to use DVC points for Aug 2010 in WDW. Any and all advice is extremely appreciated!! |

| Here's a link to current direct sale pricing for DVC: DVCNews.com - The essential Vacation Club resource! - Current DVC Pricing & Promotions That info mostly comes from reports from members so it's not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. But it should be close. You can also look at buying resale from brokers like the board sponsor (click on link above.) DVC members can book their Home resort (the one you own) up to 11 months in advance. So members started booking Aug '10 reservations about a month ago. |

| You've got some great starting points from Tim there. Probably the first decisions you need to make are which resort you want to buy points at and that will give you a feel of whether to go through Disney or resale, as Disney are currently only selling points at some resorts (Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas, Bay Lake Tower, Grand Californian at Disneyland and I'm assuming still Saratoga Springs for the Treehouse Villas? I haven't heard that has sold out yet?) There are various sticky threads in this forum that will help you, including FAQs about the Disney Vacation Club and there's even a whole e-book with lots of information. with making the decision and anything else you want to know, just ask away. ![]()
