DVC discounts at DLR?

I looked on the DVC site and found the dining discount list for Disneyland, but didn't see any shopping discounts listed. Anyone know if there are any at DLR?

I don't remember any shopping discounts for DVC members when we were at Disneyland in 2009, but I do remember that most restaurants (not just a few, and not just at lunch, as at Disney World) give a 10% discount. If they're not on the site, they're probably not there. (You may be able to get a discount for a purchase of $50 or more by using a Disney Visa, if you have one.)

Happy planning!
Melissa

I found perks for DVC members generally lacking on my last trip a few years back. In fact, at one restaurant I asked if there was a DVC discount and the CM asked me what "DVC" meant.

The shopping discounts are not that prominent at DLR. I asked at all the locations, but most did not have a discount for DVC members. A few I can think of that did were the DTD Lego store and Ridemakerz. I think a few others there. Other then that we used our Disney Visa and got that discount instead.

A lot of the stores said they were "working" on establishing a discount, but nothing at the time we were there.

Thanks! I thought I was missing something. Too bad they don't seem to have any, but I do have the Disney Visa, so will try that for shopping and the DVC card for dining.

If you go on the Member website and look under Member perks for Disneyland and then shopping, you'll find there are quite a few. They're also detailed on page 60 of the current edition of PassPorter's Disney Vacation Club Guide and the next edition (coming soon) will further update that section.

Your book! It's sitting right here at my desk and I didn't think to check it for the discouts. I did check the website and there was a section for shopping discounts but it didn't list any. I'll check again as it doesn't appear that my brain is working well just now.... Thanks!

Yep....found them. Not too thrilling is right. I was wondering if it would be even worth it to take my DVC membership card, and I guess it is! Thanks.

I don't have a list but I flashed my DVC card at almost every location I went to in September 2011 and got %10 off on lots of food but not merchandise. I just made sure I did my shopping in one place and got the %10 of $50 on my souvies.
