We were planning on getting a TIW card for our trips in June and Dec next year with the AP discount for $75.00. Is it possible to order with an AP voucher from home? Does the year begin when you order it or when you use it first?
You will need to pick up the TIW card after you get your AP at the park. I believe it can be done at the same time. The membership begins when the card is issued and not when it is first used.

And yes -- you can purchase the AP at home, and pick it up / activate it at any park or at DTD. If you are buying the special discounted pass, you will need to visit WDW and activate your pass by December 31, 2013. Your AP will be valid until 1 year after it is activated.

We usually get our TIW card at EPCOT's Guest Services. It was very easy to do, and I think you can purchase it at any of the park's guest service locations.
