was reading about the Royal Members gathering on Mondays At 8am at the DL hotel in the Sleeping Beauty Pavilion in the winter Disney Files Magazine. I was wondering if anyone had been to this or had any information about it. We will be in DL over Christmas (staying at the DLH) and was wondering if it was worth it. The magazine says you meet a character and get a gift.
I've heard good reports from people on the boards about this. I was thinking of going, but given how early the parks are opening (we're there over Christmas too ) I'm thinking I'd rather head into the parks as soon as they open.

I went to it back in September. It was very nice. They had a continental breakfast. Had trivia games with give aways, There were drawings for 2 gift baskets. At the end there was a surprise guest. Mickey came out and took pictures with all that attended. There was even a photopass photographer there. Before leaving, everyone got the new white DVC hats with the new logo on it.
We really enjoyed it. It is just like a Welcome Home Wednesday....... west coast style. I have pics in my trip report under the Disneyland section. Titled... I thought we were going to WDW..... but this is Disneyland.

Thanks for the information and Disney 4us2 I checked out your pictures,thanks for letting me know about them.They were great. How long did the gathering last? I'm thinking since we are staying at DLH we will probably stop and check this out(and get a free breakfast!)
