Renting points I am looking at possibly renting points in January 2004 for the WDW Marathon at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. I have no idea what to expect for costs. Thanks in advance for any guidance you experts can provide.

Re: Renting points I have neither rented nor rented out points. But it seems the going rate is $10 per point. Maybe someone who has participated in this will come along for you.

Re: Renting points There is a DVC rent/trade forum on the DIS boards - www.disboards.com. I haven't used it but it seems to have worked out well for others. Good luck.

Re: Renting points I have friends who have rented prior to purchasing and the rates depended on how close to trip and use year for "deals" $10 & $8.00 are figures I've seen. I've noticed Ebay rentals but caution you to look closely there as most of the rates are much higher and you need to read the fine print. Also make sure that you understand rental agreements and cancellation policies. I do not know anyone who has had an issue renting. I have read issues where people have had issues being the rentor (bounced checks, no follow up by renter etc). Good Luck! Watch out you may end up becoming hooked and we'll say Welcome Home to you pretty soon!

Re: Renting points Once you decide on your room type (studio, 1 bedroom etc)you can then calculate number of points etc. Here is the link to the official site re accomodations Official DVC site for VWL Since you are looking at Adventure Season (lowest points which is a good thing)Jan 9th - 12th (Fri-Mon) you are looking at a greater points for the Fri/Sat stay. Studio would be total: 68 points (fri/sat-22 each sun-thur - 12 each) 1 bedroom would be: 134 points 2 bedroom would be: 180 points PM me if you have other questions. I wasn't sure whether you are staying Fri departing Tues or Monday. If you depart Monday it will be less points.
