| Boardwalk Villas - useful information and photos Contained in this post is some useful information about Boardwalk Villas. Now it's over to you - can you add any other helpful hints or do you have some photos you can share with us of the resort? If so, please post away with your thoughts and experiences! Boardwalk Villas 2101 N. Epcot Resorts Boulevard, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830 Phone: 407 939-5100 Fax: 407 939-5150 The second DVC property to be built at Disney World was the Boardwalk Villas, which opened in July 1996, and was based on the Atlantic Seaboard of the 1930’s. On the south side of the Boardwalk, you can either walk or take a boat to both Epcot and the MGM Studios from here. Bus services are offered to all other Disney parks and Downtown Disney. The Boardwalk Villas’ main pool is Luna Park, which features the Keister Coaster water slide, although there are also two quieter pools at the complex. Two lighted tennis courts, jogging trails, arcades and the Muscles and Bustles health club are also available at the Boardwalk and the Community Hall offers games, crafts, video and equipment rentals. Shopping opportunities can be found at the Screen Door General Store, which includes groceries, newspapers and Disney merchandise. Thimbles and Threads offers resort wear, while you can find a complete collection of Disney merchandise at the Boardwalk Character Carnival. Great evening entertainment is also on offer at the Boardwalk. Atlantic Dance offers a great night of dancing, while Jellyrolls is a duelling piano club with classic sing along entertainment. The Boardwalk Villas offer a huge range of places to eat – as well as all the restaurants at nearby Epcot, the Swan, Dolphin and Yacht and Beach Club resorts, the Boardwalk itself offers the following options: - Spoodles, a restaurant offering food with a Mediterranean flavour, open for breakfast and dinner. - Flying Fish Café is open nightly for dinner and offers the season’s best seafood with a number of meat dishes. - ESPN Club is the perfect place for sports fans with over 80 screens showing sports events while you enjoy lunch or dinner there. - Big River Grille and Brewing Works is a brewpub, offering speciality beers, sandwiches and salads from lunchtime until midnight. - Seashore Sweets, a turn of the century ice cream parlour and soda fountain. - Boardwalk Bakery offers a range of freshly created cakes, pies and cookies. Studios, one and two bedroom vacation homes and three bedroom grand villas (some on two storeys) are available here. The Boardwalk very rare in offering preferred or standard views. Only the Animal Kingdom Lodge Villas at Walt Disney World offer a similar choice. Grand villas all have preferred views. You can also find photos in the PassPorter photo archive.
