| No More Disney Store Discount! I just went to buy some items at our local Disney Store and was informed that as of 3 days ago they no longer honor the 10% DVC discount. Has this happened to anyone else?   |

| Re: No More Disney Store Discount! It's true. It was effective on Thursday the 10th. The stores can no longer accept a Disney discount because the stores are no longer owned by Disney. I hope this helps clear things up. Jennifer |

| Re: No More Disney Store Discount! World of Disney in DTD (and NYC, for that matter) are owned by Disney. So are all stores on property. Just the retail stores in the malls across the nation and Canada are not owned by Disney anymore. I'm not sure about the overseas stores. Last I heard, they were still for sale, but I could be mistaken. Let me know if I can help anyone else out! Jennifer |

| Re: No More Disney Store Discount! We just found this out yesterday as we were checking out at our local DS. The castmember asked, "Where's the DVC discount key?" The manager called from the back of the store and said that it was no longer available.  It sounded like they had a lot of Disney perks cut, too. |

| Re: No More Disney Store Discount! I knew this was coming. The CM at the Disney Store told me. I'm bummed. When I was at DTD early January, the Disney store accepted my card and gave me my 10%. Mid January I went shopping in the mall and I received the 10%. End of January I was back down at WDW DTD and the store refused the card and would not give me the 10%. I was hoping that the stores at home would continue. I'm so sad to see this go away. |
