| We just became members. Well DH and I broke down and became DVC members. They were offereing great incentives and we actually already have points. Do you all like being DVC members. Have you found everything easy to use?? Do you sometimes use points outside Disney World?? How has it been for you? |

[img]/ubb/images/graemlins/woot.gif[/img] Becoming a DVC member was one of the best decisions DH and I made. Since joining in May, 2001, we have taken 8 trips and 2 cruises. We have our 9th trip booked for March. There is absolutely no way we would have been able to afford this many vacations without DVC. I have always had a very easy time with booking, banking and borrowing. I have usually gotten the accomadations that I wanted, and if they are not available, I usually get a really close second! (For example, we wanted BCV for March, it was not available, so we chose SSR, and DH is thrilled to be staying at a brand new reaort! It's all good! [img]/ubb/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] ) I love love love staying at a DVC resort...I love love love hearing "Welcome Home" when you check in, when you drive through the gate, all the time!!! We stayed at Hilton Head last year and loved it. We only stayed for a weekend, but are planing a longer trip with friends next year. (Actually, in 2007...) Welcome to DVC!!!! | Re: We just became members. Yipeeeee! Congratulations on you new "HOME" We joined over the summer and are planning our first trip HOME in April. So far we love it. We have been do Disney enough to know that. I find that I have "Disney Fever" all year long now. It is a good feeling to know that my family will have one quality vacation a year. |

| Re: We just became members. Welcome Home!! We just joined DVC in July and will be taking our second trip home in January. We just love it! We stayed in at studio at VWL, followed by a 2 BR at OKW, in Sept. Loved them both! Next month we'll be spending a couple nights at Vero Beach, then on to the BWV for a few nights. I love having so many choices, and we've found Member Services to be very nice and helpful. Congratulations! |

It has always been extremely easy to use and we've never had any problem getting the accomodations that we want. [/ QUOTE ] Actually, if you're buying direct from DVC you can call and make your first reservation immediately. That's one of the benefits of buying direct. Normally the stay cannot commence until after the formal closing is scheduled to occur, but there's nothing keeping you from at least making a reservation. Your info packet should have had a temporary ID card with your membership number. If you can't find it, just call Member Services and explain the situation. I'm sure they'll gladly look it up for you. Congrats!  |

We have stayed in studios, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units. We also stayed at the Polynesian Resort with the points.We love being members and have never had any problems with making our requests for reservations.Member Services is always ready to assist. I can honestly say that everyone we have dealt with has been professional, helpful when needed, and courteous! We haven't even taken the trip "home" yet and can already say it was the best move we made!
