| Boardwalk or Beach Club Villas last week of August We are planning our summer vacation the last week of August this year (8/27-9/2) and I was wondering what the odds were for getting a 2-bedroom accomodation at the Boardwalk or Beach Club Villas at the 7-month window. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.  |

Our 7 month window opens in Feb. so I plan to call & try to switch to a 2 bedroom at Beach Club. I'm guessing you'll at least be able to book a Preferred Garden / Pool view at BWV with no problem at 7 months. You may even have other BWV or BCV options available. | Re: Boardwalk or Beach Club Villas last week of August I'm not sure of the popularity of the 2-bedrooms versus the 1-bedrooms, but I booked at Beach Club for late June just last week. There was plenty of space at Boardwalk, but I got the last 1-bedroom at BCV. I've never had a problem during the summer booking at BCV at the 7-month window, and I agree that your dates are late enough that most kids will be back in school. My best guess? Highly likely! | Re: Boardwalk or Beach Club Villas last week of August We're already booked at BCV for a big part of that week (we're there starting a few days earlier). We're lucky in that our Home Resort is BCV's so we were able to make our reservations 11 months out. We were there around this same time in 2005 and the crowds did seem lower than other times, so you may have a better chance. Our kids start school after Labor Day so we try and target this week since the points tend to be lower starting mid August and the lines seem to be shorter in the parks. The only thing on our observations that may skew the chances, was at this time in 2005 was also was when Katrina was between the Key's and New Orlenes so I'm not sure if that caused people to change their plans at the last minute. |
