Your next DVC vacation

OK, so I've talked about mine a little bit - when are your next DVC vacations planned for and where are you going?

We're using our points in April for a two night stay at the Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, then two nights premium view at the Disneyland Hotel, followed by two nights concierge and finally four nights at the Fairmont in San Francisco.

As if that wasn't enough, we've got a stay at the Beach Club Villas booked for the end of October, although we're waiting for the seven month window to open, as I've still got a couple more nights there to book and I'll be booking three nights at Hilton Head as well. Re: Your next DVC vacation

We're taking my Dad and Stepmom down to BCV from 8/27 to 9/2. We'll be driving dowwn and will be there on 8/25 staying elsewhere, but will meet up with them when they fly down on 8/27. We've got a 2 bedroom booked for this trip and needed to borrow a few points from 2007 in order to make the reservation.
After that, We're thinking about banking the remainder of next year's points into 2008, but don't have any plans yet on what we're going to do with them.

Re: Your next DVC vacation

We just returned from 5 nights in a Standard View 1B at the BoardWalk.

In May, me, my son and a close friend are spending 3 nights in a studio at Saratoga Springs for our first Star Wars Weekend. It's the first time in eons that I've gone to WDW without my wife and the first time alone on vacation with my 5yo son. Should be an interesting experience.

Re: Your next DVC vacation

I'm headed back to WDW in June to celebrate (not so sure if that's the right word ) Zack becoming a teenager. We invited Eileen (caldercup) and Calder to come with us, so we're staying in a 1-bedroom at the Beach Club. I'm also planning a December trip for my 35th birthday, right now scheduled for the 15th-24th, and I'm still thinking about resorts. Cheryl, you're amazing! You do the coolest things with your points!

Re: Your next DVC vacation

Our upcoming trips:

June 7-10, 2006 - Hoosier Girls (DawnDenise and I)staying in a Studio at Old Key West

October 1-7, 2006 - The extended family (two sisters, brother-in-law, nephew, Eric & I) staying in a 2 bedroom at Saratoga Springs

DH is thinking about a guys trip down to Hilton Head or Vero Beach sometime in August since I am doing a girls trip. We borrowed a few points from 2007 (and would borrow more if he did the guys trip).

We are undecided for our 2007 trip. It will be a "just the two of us" tirp. We are thinking about doing a cruise with a few days at WDW before we set sail or a WDW stay followed by Vero Beach.

We will be going 4/14- 4/21 to the BWV for our first trip home. After that, we may try to get down there again for 9 days at the end of July/ Aug. and stay 1/2 at the SSR and WL.

Re: Your next DVC vacation

Let's see, we're staying at the Dolphin for 3 nights the end of May/first of June followed by 4 nights at Coronado Springs (not on points).
Then its 2 nights in a studio at Saratoga Springs (waitlisted for VWL), followed by 6 nights in a studio at VWL (rented points).
Finally, 12 nights in a studio at VWL Dec. 15-27 using 2007 points.
We're going for a new record of 27 nights in one calendar year!

Re: Your next DVC vacation

Hey Cheryl, just how many points to you & Mark have!!! As you know we will be down to WDW from 11-2 to 11-7 for the International Food & Wine Festival at the BCV. We are so excited that we will get to see you both. As far as the rest of the year, since we used a great deal of points to stay in a 2 Bedroom Villa ( it) at Christmas 2005. We have no other plans and no points (unless we borrow).

Re: Your next DVC vacation

We're heading to BWV from 4/9/06 to 4/14/06 to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary & DS Ryan's 5th birthday. We're doing a 7 day cruise on the Disney Magic 8/19/06 to 8/26/06 (not on points). It's making 2 stops at Castaway Cay. After the cruise we're staying at BCV from 8/26/06 to 9/3/06. It will be our 1st time staying at BCV. Finally, I just booked a short stay at BWV from 1/13/07 to 1/1/17/07. I may try to switch that one to a long weekend in Feb. 2007 instead though.

We've now got 385, having added on twice at Saratoga Springs. Also, we didn't use many on our last trip, as we were in a studio at the Beach Club Villas for eight nights in the Choice and Adventure season.
