Anyone ever stayed at Vero Beach or Hilton head? I am thinking about buying into DVC. My husband is not a Disney fan so would not want to go to Disney every year, but loves the beach and diving. Have any of you stayed at Vero Beach or Hilton Head? What is the beach like? Any good Scuba diving in the area? Help? This is what will determine wether or not I will be able to join DVC. Need lots of Pixie Dust!!

Re: Anyone ever stayed at Vero Beach or Hilton head? We stayed at Vero Beach for two nights in December and, although it was exceptionally cold while we were there, the beach was still very beautiful. We loved having our ocean view room. It's a beautiful area.

Re: Anyone ever stayed at Vero Beach or Hilton head? We stayed at VB for two nights in January, and we loved it! We were fortunate enough to have temps in the 70s, and the kids had a blast at the beach and in the pool. The resort was beautiful, and there were lots of activities for the kids. We did the campfire one night, where there was a sing-along and smores. We rented bikes one afternoon, and that was a lot of fun. There were pool games for the kids in the afternoon, and also a DJ at the pool. We weren't there long enough to really explore the VB area, but we'll definitely be going back sometime!

Re: Anyone ever stayed at Vero Beach or Hilton head? No transportation. It's about a 2 hour drive from Orlando to VB.

Re: Anyone ever stayed at Vero Beach or Hilton head? We spent our first DVC trip at Hilton Head last July for 6 nights. It's a nice resort, about a mile from the beach with free shuttle to Disney's Beach House, which has a pool area, a bar and a snack bar. There's also a pool at the resort and a snack bar and there are activities for the kids.
