| WDWfan's Guide Bio Hi! My name is Lesley and I'm excited to be a guide for the WDW Feasting and Snacking: The Eateries and the Globetrotting Trip Report forums. My first encounter with Disney was watching the Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday nights when I was growing up. It was the only night of the week that the TV was on during dinner. We would set up the TV trays in the family room and all watch it together. In 1965 when I was 10 years old we drove from Illinois to California to visit Disneyland. The ride was worth it! I fell in ! When WDW opened in Florida we had to go see it. I first visited in the summer of 1972. We stayed at the Polynesian and had an amazing trip. I've been back to DL once and WDW ten times. I've made been to the world as a child, as a young adult, with my kids at various ages and most recently as and adult without kids. My most recent trip was my first trip home - I bought into DVC last summer - and I stayed at Pop, BCV and BWV. Traveling is one of my passions. I visit Las Vegas once a year. I have traveled throughout the U.S. with some of my favorite places being Mackinac Island, San Francisco, Sanibel Island, Boston, and New York. I've been on 3 cruises (including my first DCL cruise in May 2008 - the Westbound Panama Canal 15 day cruise) and in November of 2005 I had the opportunity for a quick trip to England. I hope to get back there soon. I am divorced and have 2 children. Beth is 24, living on her own and working for a PR firm in downtown Chicago. Sean is 22 and is a senior in college majoring in vocal education. They both love Disney as much as I do and can't believe I have made several trips to WDW without them. I work as a Business Analyst in the IT department of a large insurance company. I've been with the company for 20 years in a variety of positions and hope to remain there for 10-15 more years until I can retire. I enjoy the time I spend on the Passporter boards and hope I can help to make others feel welcome here. ![]() Last edited by WDWfan : 07-01-2008 at 10:12 PM. |
