Hi I'm Yvonne. I am the worldest biggest Tinkerbell fan - or at least I keep telling myself and anyone who will listen that I am!

I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area - San Leandro - and spent every Summer taking YMCA trips to Southern California with Disneyland being the highlight of the trip. As an adult I traveled to Disneyland several times a year and before I had children, I even took my friend's kids with me! I honestly have no idea how many times I've been there - can I say "A LOT"!!

I migrated to Southern Indiana where I now live with my new husband of a few years and my 15 year old daughter. Who says teenage girls don't LOVE Disney? She may not "get into" the princess', but there isn't a villian that she doesn't get giddy around!

I took my DH on his first vacation ever and it seemed appropriate to take him to WDW; 10 days at the Wilderness Lodge, enjoying everything Disney, and ending up having such a great time that we joined DVC on that trip. I have been to WDW 5 times and plan on going at least 1-2x a year from now on and forever...or at least until my DVC membership runs out!

I was a peer reviewer for the Passporter's Walt Disney World for Your Special Needs Book. I reviewed both for Fibromyalgia and for being a Plus-Sized Individual. I highly highly highly recommend this book. The information is like no other and really was informational, even to me as a reviewer!

That being said, I have Fibromyalgia and rent a ECV from a medical supply on our journies to WDW. I have quite a bit of experience navigating all around The World and The Resorts, with no car, using only Disney Transportation and my ECV.

I also wanted to share that I had Weight Loss Surgery - a gastric lapband. Even though I reviewed for Plus-Sizes, with the help of my lapband, I am no longer Plus-Sized (although not skinny by any means! LOL). But I do love food and have had to learn to adjust to eating at WDW (which is incredibly accomodating even for this "Special Need").

I am especially delighted to be joining the other Guides in The Kitchen: Food, Recipes and Good Health. I am a foodie, tried and true. I've just had to learn to adjust the food we eat to make it healthier for us three. Let me sit all day watching the Food Network and I'm pleased as punch.

I'm looking forward to helping you out any way I can. Just be warned: if you made it to the bottom of this bio, you can see I'm quite long-winded and I may write you a novel in reply! LOL
