Hi everyone!
My name is Ann and I am thrilled to be here! I am co-guide with DebiDebiDebi, disneyknut and RobDVC in the Sunroom as well as co-guide with CRCrazy and Shell of the South in Going Behind the Scenes: Trivia, News and Rumors forums.
My husband Allen and I raised our three sons in a small yet friendly community in northern Indiana, very close to the University of Notre Dame! Our sons are now grown and on their own, living all over the country! We have a maltipoo puppy, Miss Daisy, that keeps us entertained and on our toes!
For 18 years I worked at the elementary school in our district, with 8 years being the librarian and computer lab teacher. The library was the perfect niche for me, as besides Disney, one of my other passions is reading! The last 2 years that I worked at the school I decided to job share the school secretary position with a very dear friend of mine. I loved working part-time!
My first glimpse of life in Florida was when I was 8 years old. Even at that early age, I knew that someday I would live there! My first visit to the wonderful world of Disney was December 1971. My parents took our family to the newly opened Magic Kingdom for Christmas! I was totally hooked! My love and passion for anything Disney was awakened by that first visit and I have never looked back!
The year 2008 was life changing for our family! My husband and I celebrated our 30th anniversary! My youngest son became engaged and was married in Naples Florida in December 2008. We became DVC members in September 2007, and we took our first trip “home” in April 2008! Then in 2010 we moved to the sunshine state of Florida!! You see, I just knew that many, many years ago when I first visited the sunny beaches of Florida, I would live there!
Dreams do come true!
My love for Walt Disney World led me to find the most amazing vacation guide and website that I have ever known and been a part of. Not only have I found the greatest source of information on anything to do with Disney, I have found a wonderful group of people who I am so grateful to be a part of!
