I first went to WDW back in 1980 on a day trip while visiting my Grandparents who used to spend winters in FL. The next visit was much the same but in 1986. It wasn't until 1999 that we spent our very first ever long stay: 3 nights!!
We live in a small town of less than 2000 people in Central Indiana. Every year we have a small festival and the local ambulance service holds a raffle, with the prizes to be awarded on the last day. This particular year, and this is the only time it has happened, but the big prize was 8 single day single park tickets. Well guess who won?? ME!!
A quick call to a local travel agent(this was before I knew of the disneyworld.com site)got us plane tickets and 3 nights at the All Star Movies. I remember telling her "No way am I paying $10 more a night just to be closer to the lobby."
That was the start of my obsession. In 2002, we became Disney Vacation Club members with our home resort being Beach Club Villas. It was the best investment we ever made.
My husband Ben and I have been married for 17 years and have four wonderful children. Josh 17, Carlee 16, Michael 9, and Gabrielle 7.
