Hello!! My name is Kelly, or aliceinwdw on the boards, and I am so excited to be a new co-guide in the Planning You Adventure: Your Plans forum.



My DH (DVCBird941 here on the site – yes I have him hooked too!) and I live in Michigan and find so many people who don’t “get” our love for visiting Disney every year. We have been fortunate enough to visit WDW every year for our anniversary since our honeymoon in October 2005, thus my love for all things Disney vacation planning! And the best part? We finally “got serious” last November when we signed up for DVC! Now we have the next 50 years of trying to explain this to people and, more importantly, I get to keep making yearly plans, itineraries, ADRs, etc. (which I am totally obsessed with – that and office supplies – draw your own conclusions! ) and we get to keep going back without any excuse!

At home, DH is an engineer and is, thankfully¸ still employed in this crazy economy. I have not been so fortunate, as I have posted about, but things will improve with time and patience. In the meantime, I joined Avon this summer as a means of keeping myself “working.” It’s definitely important to have a purpose for everyday to keep mentally healthy and help you maintain a sense of contribution in the world, whether it’s a job, your family, running errands, etc. Keeping busy with the PassPorter community and my new "job" help me do this everyday!

My family also helps me with the “day-to-day.” DH and I aren’t currently parents to human children, but we do have quite a few four-legged kids! We are proud parents to 6 cats and 1 completely overrun dog! The cats totally outnumber the poor pooch, and for it, he is the world’s best dog. . .especially when those cats give him no respect! But they’re all a good brood and we love them (so much so that I whine about missing them way more than is necessary when we’re on vacation!).

But that in a nutshell is me and my life right now. I come back to Disney as a way of making the trials and tribulation of “real life” more manageable. We all need a break from the daily grind and what a better place to come together and connect! Thanks to everyone for being part of a great community and I hope to serve you all well! YAY!
