LizardCop's Guide Bio

Hi! My name is Bill and I’m a Disneyholic! (everyone says Bill)

I am a co-Guide in a number of different forums and I’m very proud to be here.

I’ve been a Disney Lover since I was a youngster. I would spend many a night laying on the floor with my feet on the TV stand watching The Mickey Mouse Club, and was one of millions of young males that had a crush on Annette!!!

I first visited Disneyland in 1970, and had an opportunity to visit it twice in 2 months. Then the Air Force sent me back to Florida and I traveled to a few other states/countries before I was able to get to Walt Disney World in 1985. Visited there again in 1987 and didn’t get back until 1999. Since then, I have been able to go at least once a year.

I recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of my 18th birthday. I am a sufferer of “the Peter Pan Syndrome”, I refuse to grow up which is why I have anniversaries of that birthday.

I married my lovely wife, Jan, in 1996 and she is 12 years younger than I. This is a second marriage for us both. I have 2 sons and Jan has one son, all over 30. Between all them sons, we have 4 grandchildren, 3 girls and one boy. The youngest granddaughter lives with us, her name is Abby.

I’m a bit of a geek and love playing with computer related stuff and making things work and/or making things simple for others. I am a Deputy Sheriff here in Okaloosa County full time and Jan is the regional office manager and assistannt IT person for her company.

I’m known on the boards as LizardCop. This moniker is a result of the fact that I am a “cop” and from when Jan and I used to do reptile rescue. When doing that, we “specialized” in lizards, Green Iguanas, Bearded Dragons, Spiny Tail Lizards and so forth. We also did snakes and a few other species, but our “specialty” was lizards… That is also why my home page and e-mail addresses go through LizardCop.com

That’s more than enough about me and I look forward to having lots of fun and helping out where needed as much as I can.
