| ripkensnana\'s Guide Bio Hi, my name is Carol Ray, a.k.a. ripkensnana. My screen name is in honor of one of my fourteen grandkids, who was named for Cal Ripken, Jr. (can you tell that his parents are baseball nuts?). I'm 63 years young, and married to my best friend, Bob (age 56 - I'm another Guide who robbed the cradle). Between the two of us, we have seven kids, and 14 grandkids (only five girls, though...). My first trip to WDW was in 1989, when I was visiting a friend who was living in Ocala for a short time (we're theatre people, and she was guest-directing a play in the community theatre there). This was during Christmas week, and the first park we visited was Epcot...What a thrill! It was a lifelong dream come true for me. I'd watched Disneyland being built via the early Disney show of the same name (did you know that the original name of the show was Disneyland?) and hoped and prayed to be able to go there...My grandparents went, but I still haven't made it...I got a T-shirt, though! Anyway, after that first trip in 1989, despite my dreams and desires, I didn't manage to get back to WDW until July, 2002. Since then, I've made six more trips, including a Disney Cruise, which I loved (and to think, I didn't really want to go - Bob had to "guilt" me into it, since he wanted to cruise so badly). I love acting in community theatre, reading mystery and fantasy novels, watching movies (I work at a local mall, in a store specializing in DVD's - I'm the Disney expert), and doing various crafty things (like scrapbooking...hey! I'll be able to write that in the chatroom without getting the "Please rephrase your last message" line!...counted cross-stitch, and making jewelry). I spend wa-a-a-y too much time on my computer, but that's where I found the PassPorter forums and all the great people here!
