| I was just headed over here to make sure all the Mickey Moms had checked their site for the most current information. I am so excited to follow everyone's thoughts on the process and see who is selected. It has been the best experience and the memories and friends I have gained while serving as a Panelist this year is more than I ever could have hoped for. As soon as I get the official word on the application date I will be sure to share and please follow me on twitter at mefries. I will post any information I receive there too. | Word limit is tough. I wrote and re-wrote and re-wrote mine so many times to make it fit. I am not aware of any answers that are better than others. I made it to final phone interview first year and was not selected. Then I re-applied and was (Yeah!!! ). Best tip I can give is to be yourself. Put your best Disney foot forward and believe in yourself and your knowledge. In the ned that is what comes through the most I think. Good luck!! |

| I'm fairly new to the PP community and don't know much about Disney Mom Panel. What are the requirements for applicants? What's the application process like? What word limit? What are you required to do as a Disney Mom Panelist? I know and I'm sorry for all the questions but I'm really interested. |

| The Disney Mom's Panel website can be found here: Moms Panel | Walt Disney World Resort They haven't announced the opening date for the submissions, so keep an eye out. The past two years, the application was three 100-word essays answering questions like "tell us about yourself," "give us your best tip for WDW travel" and that sort of thing. The word limit is carefully monitored, so you have to be able to express yourself concisely. They had three rounds - the first was open to a certain number of entries and they reached their maximum number of entries QUICKLY! The only restrictions were (I think) that you couldn't be an employee of Disney currently and you had to have traveled to Disney within the past 12 months. From those thousands of entries, they selected a certain subset and those folks were asked to answer more questions with 100-word limits. From those entries, they selected a small number to conduct phone interviews. From those people, they selected the final panel. Eileen

I figured why try again...if they didn't want me before, why would they now. I'm so glad I applied. I know that every Passporter would make amazing Panelists as we all share that love of Disney plus an encyclopedia of knowledge, give it a go! It has been great helping plan Disney vacations for guests (my touch of WDW here at home) but on top of that, the Panel has introduced me to the most amazing group of friends that i would never have known. It is a dream experience but one that I will be able to benefit from forever. Good luck to everyone. I hope to see a Panel full of Passporters as you all are incredible! | |
