Can we join in the fun even if we do not book the "vacation package"? MY DH and I are AP holders, and we'd love to hook up on the 3rd or 4th, but we won't be staying the night (we live 1.5 hours away). Will schedules be posted/reservations be possible without the vacation package?

There are certain exclusive events and benefits that will only be available to those who book the Decade of Dreams package. This is due to the way that Disney handles group travel.
