What a great group going so far. Still trying to figure out how to do this...we are suppossed to be going to WDW the last week of March already. This cruise just sounds like so much fun.

I am right there with ya! everyone thinks im a total fanatic! i literally take my passporter everywhere...in the car, doctors office, anytime i may have free time...im reading & making notes.

I also opted for the outside veranda, with 3 members of my family having claustrophobia and my hubby gets sea sick, there was no way around it. plus i smoke. i know terrible habit. *slaps wrist* "bad serena!" so ill be seeing ya w/the late seating group

Question for Jennifer or Dave... When it comes around to discussing excursions & special meets *like what we all want to do* will that be in this thread or will there be a new thread? i think i heard it said it will be later in the year...is that right?

I can't be sure how we'll handle it quite yet - perhaps we'll have separate meet discussions in each pertinent thread (DCL, WDW, DL), or perhaps we'll start a separate thread for meets. I'm sure you'll have enough warning that you can make that thread a favorite.

Looks like lots of first time cruisers. I've cruised before, but not with DCL. And I'm very very tempted.

Here's another that couldn't resist making the Decade of Dreams cruise her first Disney cruise!
Deposits are in and we're counting down the days!

When it gets closer, we hope to group up with others traveling near the same time to take advantage of less expensive port transfer options ...

My trip to WDW in December 2008 is going to really add to the excitement -- can't wait!

I have a problem...

... I am already booked on this cruise. Why is that a problem, you ask?

I'm booked through another TA.

This all happened in a rather whirlwind fashion. On Sunday night, my sister (and travel companion for every Disney trip) went upstairs to put her daughter to bed. In the meantime, I was reading Deb Wills' blog about the WB Panama Canal repo cruise, and by the time she came back down, I had quoted this cruise on the DCL website. She was on board, so we requested a quote from that *ahem* other TA. Monday night, we booked!

That's all well and good. I was super excited. I pulled out my last DCL PassPorter and started re-reading. I came to the site and registered my copy for a discount on a new copy.

I saw that the critically acclaimed Jennifer and Dave Marx are cruising.

On OUR cruise.

(Let me pull the mic away so I don't blow out your eardrums).

YAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Then, IT happened.

I saw that there are special prices AND special activities planned with them........

... if you book with Mouse Fan Travel!

So here's my problem - what is the likelihood that I can keep the price we got and stateroom we have - 7558 (cat 5), love the location, it's starboard, we were in 7058 in 2005 and LOVED it - while allowing me to join the exciting Decade of Dreams Cruise???

I sent in a quote to MFT and explained the situation in the comments/requests section. I'm just hoping someone can tell me, "Hey Donaldsgal, no sweat. You can easily cancel with the other TA, keep that stateroom, see no price increase, etc."

FYI, our price is $2202 per person for the two adults, and $1101 for my niece. That includes trip insurance, taxes, port fees, etc. Not sure if Mouse Fan will be competitive with that.

If we can't make the switch while keeping our rate and stateroom, we'll still go, but I'm afraid I'll feel like an outsider! I want to get to hang out with you all - and get to sit near you at dinner and feel included - but if I'm not booked through the group, I'll have to watch from the sidelines. That would stink! So please reassure me if you can and give me your input on switching TAs if you've done it.

Sorry for such a long post for my first post ever on the PassPorter boards. Can I still participate in your threads about the cruise if I don't end up booking through Mouse Fan?

Thanks again! Excited to see you in less than a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome aboard!

First question last... You betcha! We're delighted to have you part of the discussions and planning, regardless of what happens with your cruise booking.

I hope Mouse Fan Travel can come through for you with the right rate, but since the rates are all a matter of timing (when Mouse Fan Travel locked in their group rate, vs. when you made your booking with your TA), I have to leave the price info up to the folks at Mouse Fan.

You'll find that we're a very inclusive group of folks. While some cruisers may not be in a position to do everything with us or share a dinner table with us, if you're a member of the PassPorter community you can be sure of a warm welcome, and that there will be activities that everyone can be a part of. Our 10th anniversary is big stuff, and we want everyone to feel a part of it.

We also booked this cruise with another TA.

We were engaged at WDW and honeymooned on Tortola. When we heard DCL was going there, we decided to make this our first cruise.

This will be our second cruise. Wish we had known about this, but already went thru our usual TA. In any case, we are looking forward to meeting you all. My son and his wife will be joining us so it should be a special cruise. We could not convince them to bring our darling granddaughters (4 and 2) with us, but maybe the next time. Penny and I will be celebrating our almost 10th wedding anniversary and my 60th birthday (unfortunately, it won't be an almost by then).

Can't wait to see you all. This looks like a good group!
