FAQs

What airport do I fly into and out of?
Your guide will pick you up from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on your arrival day. Your flight should arrive no later than 1:00 p.m. At the end of your adventure, you will be transferred back to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). You may schedule a departure flight for anytime after breakfast.

What ages are appropriate for this adventure?
While we welcome children ages 4 and up at the time of travel, we recommend that children be at least 5 years old at the time of travel on our Backstage Magic trip. This is based on several factors, such as extended hours of daily activity programming, potential for extreme temperatures and amount of physical activity (e.g., walking) involved.

Are there height, and weight restrictions for certain activities?
Yes. Please note that certain rides and attractions have height restrictions.

Can I take photographs when we go behind the scenes?
Photography is restricted during certain parts of the trip. Restrictions on photography include, but are not limited to, the following venues: Walt Disney Imagineering, El Capitan Theater, Jimmy Kimmel, The Jim Henson Company Studio, Walt Disney Studios, Disneyland® Park and at Disney's California Adventure® Park. Please ask your Adventure Guides for opportunities where group photos may be arranged.

What if Adventures by Disney cancels the adventure prior to departure?
Adventures by Disney reserves the right to cancel or reschedule an adventure at any time for any reason, such as if there are too few Guests or if the quality of the trip or the safety of the Guests would, in Disney’s opinion, be compromised, such as may result from unforeseen circumstances (acts of God) or other circumstances beyond Adventures by Disney's control. Applicable refund policy is based on the circumstances for cancelation. The purchase of travel insurance is highly recommended.

Rates include an exclusive group discount. Child discount applies to children ages 4-11 when
accompanied by an adult. The supplier reserves the right to change or modify the itinerary and inclusions at
any time. Special cancellation policies and other restrictions may apply. Capacity is very limited so book early. Once the adventure is sold out, MEI-Travel will place you on a waitlist for possible cancellations. This exclusive offer can be modified or withdrawn at any time and other restrictions may apply.

Plussing!?

Now, we can't help but hope that we can "plus" this Adventure for the folks who join us. We're looking carefully at organizing special activities for some of the "down time" on the Adventure schedule. Exactly what we can and can't do will depend in part on how many will join us on the Adventure and/or at Disneyland, and (of course) how many are interested in the optional activities.

What are the possibilities? When we're staying in Los Angeles, we're hoping to put together an optional, extra-cost "night on the town" on Day 2. When we're at Disneyland, we're planning PassPorter meets that will coincide with some of the Adventure free time (evening of Day 4, afternoon of Day 5, and Day 6 following breakfast). I don't have any details at the moment, so just keep tuned in the weeks and months to come. This is going to be very cool!

This sound so cool! I just don't know if I can swing it after doing the DOD cruise and WDW. Don't know if work would let me take that much time. I sure would love to though.
