I had a great time and it was so good to meet a lot of you. Some for the second time. The show was fantastic too and looking forward to the photos.
I hung out before ESPN on the chairs as well. What a great idea to close the traffic and put lawn chairs there. So relaxing to take in sights, sounds and people watching.

That was a lot of fun! Besides the little delay with a few of our meals at dinner
And drinks! That certainly was an interesting service.
We had quite the adventure going home, too. Apparently President & Mrs. Obama were in NYC at the same time for a 'date night'. The hundreds of uniformed men and women of the NYPD around Times Square was the first clue that something was up. I have never seen so many police cars in a 5 block radius in all of my years visiting the city. They were parked on the left and right lanes of the street which left only the middle lane for all traffic as we left the parking garage. If you've ever tried to drive thru the theater district after all the shows let out when all the traffic lanes are open, you'll appreciate the hair-pulling experience of driving with only one lane.
I do have to give NYPD kudos though for really working at keeping traffic moving. It's not their fault that DH missed the turn for the Lincoln Tunnel!
Having had a (rather wilted but still good) Lemon Drop martini at dinner I delegated the driving to DH. After he missed the Lincoln Tunnell, I figured we could just take the Holland Tunnel. Wrong! Closed for construction!
So after a not-so-quick jaunt across the Manhatten bridge into Brooklyn (oh why did I let him drive?) we were finally turned around and heading the right way. By now, it's about 1 AM and we have a 2+ hour drive home. Oh well! It still couldn't dampen how much fun the evening was! (And next time we're taking the train, Christine!)
We might even go back soon and take advantage of the $20 coupons for The Little Mermaid!
And thanks for the great lanyards and goodies, Jennifer and Dave! People were wondering who we were with our awesome 'show passes'!
I had a great time Saturday. Thanks for posting the pictures.
Lynn, it sounds like you had an interesting time getting home. I could barely walk down the street to the train station. I couldn't even imagine trying to drive with just one lane open.
I did have a lot of fun waking up the guard at the Trenton parking garage at 1 am. Saying that I startled him would be an understatement.

My feet were so sore that I ended up sitting right on the floor at the bus stop. I didn't care WHAT I was on!
