WDW Dinner Meet - Brown Derby Monday eve? About This Page:

I changed the reservation to 3 people at 4:30pm. (So if anybody wants to join SuperDave, skateycat and me, please let me know ASAP.)


Hollywood Brown Derby (at DHS) is my favorite WDW restaurant. I dined there alone in February and thoroughly enjoyed an appetizer salad w/asparagus, an appetizer crab cake (to die for), and strawberry cheesecake -- along with a Derby Margarita (with Grand Marnier in it) that was delicious AND therapeutic -- I couldn't feel my sore feet after drinking that.

I just called DD and found out ADRs are going fast for this restaurant during our stay. I grabbed the last available table for 7 people at 3:45pm on Monday, May 4. (PP DOD is scheduled to be at DHS that entire day, and the park is open until 10:00pm thanks to EMH.) The Brown Derby is booked solid for the entire evening!

Anybody want to join me? The first 6 people to say "YES" will get to go. Gratuity will be included in the final bill, but we can ask the server if it's possible to get separate checks. (I have to believe Disney would allow that.)

I hope you can find others to join you as HBD is one of my favorites. I am already booked for a lunch that day with some great friends otherwise I'd say yes myself. Sorry!

So we have even more in common than we thought, hey? Glad you'll be joining me for what we could call the AARP Dinner Hour! (I actually kind of like the "off" hours for meals at WDW -- as long as I get one really good meal each day, I can snack the rest of the time guilt-free!)

UPDATE-8:55 PM:

Well this is sort of an in between time for me, but count me in, so I'll do it. I usually dine around 6 or 7 pm at WDW.

Just need to make another change to my ADRs. Does it ever end?

Sure Dave, we'd love to have you join us at the Brown Derby! The week before we go, I'll call DD to give them my final count for our table -- odds are we'll be stuck with the time, so if you aren't sure you'll want to eat that early you might want to keep your ADR for later -- you can always cancel it at the last minute if you decide to join us.

I'm definitely in! I'll just consider it an early dinner and grab a snack or two in the studios during EMH. It's always much better to dine with others than solo. I'll just cancel my dinner res for that night. So that makes three of us so far. Thanks!

Has there been any updates to our reservation? Just the three of us I'm guessing at 3:45?

I can't believe how close the DOD is getting now? I depart for WDW for my two week stay a week from Saturday on the 25th!!!
