Ann Arbor Book Festival - Saturday May 16, 2009

Jennifer and I will be exhibiting at the Ann Arbor Book Festival in (where else), our hometown, Ann Arbor, Michigan on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Admission to the festival is free, and you can't do much better than that!

The festival has a jam-packed schedule of events, including a Writer's Conference (this does cost extra), and a whole bunch of exhibitors, entertainers, guest authors, and interesting panel discussions. Among the guest authors are Peter Yarrow (of Peter, Paul, and Mary), and physician/journalist/fiction author Perri Klass. I'll be speaking at the Writer's Conference on Saturday morning, and then in a public panel discussion on the Future of the Book on Saturday afternoon.

We could also turn this into an actual PassPorter Meet if folks are interested. Just chime-in here if you're interested in getting together with your fellow PassPorter community members, and we'll see if we can pull something together!

Oh man, we miss DoD by a few days and when we are at WDW you guys will be doing this!!! I like the idea of an annual event however. It would be great and that area has lots of fun things to do and the weather is usually pretty good. I vote yes!

I wish I could join you at the AA Book Festival. My parents live in Northville MI, and we'll be there a week later.

That is a busy day for book fairs. Claire's Day is also the 16th. It is a family book festival where authors and illustrator of children's books gather at our local library here in NW Ohio. It is a wonderful event.

Enjoy the Ann Arbor festival, I hope all goes well for you.
