I'm thinking about trying to make a Disney trip over my school spring break in March (19th-23rd). What can any of you tell me about doing Disney at this time of year? How are the costs and the crowds? How is the weather? etc.

The weather is very pleasant (daytime temperatures in the mid-to-high 70's), and that's one of the reasons WDW (and all of Florida) is very popular during Spring Break. It's Peak Season for room rates, and the parks are crowded. Be prepared to take advantage of FASTPASS, don't expect to find discounted room rates, and don't be surprised if lines are very long.

My first trip to WDW was during Spring Break of '97. The weather was very warm(80's and 90's)in the day, and we needed a sweater at night. However, I don't think that is the norm for that time of year. We were just lucky.
As for the crowds...it was our first trip, so we didn't know any better. They were not horrible, but they were large.
We had a fabulous time.
I think that if you go with the knowledge of the possibility of crowds, and if you are prepared for any kind of weather, you will thoroughly enjoy yourselves.
Attitude is everything!
