O.K... 20 days to go, and I am trying to finalize our plans. I like to map out the days and the attractions we want to see and then allow for some flexibility. I am a little concerned about one of the days that I planned. I have us doing both Typhoon Lagoon and Animal Kingdom. We got free water parks tickets with our package, and I don't want them to go to waste. We were at Animal Kingdom last year for about (4) hours and that was fine with us (except we didn't know much then about the shows like Festival of the Lion King). Can you guys and gals please review my itinerary and let me know your thoughts? Thanks!
Day Five: Typhoon Lagoon & Animal Kingdom
Tuesday, May 16, 2006
· Leave POP by 9:30am
· Take the bus to Typhoon Lagoon
· Head to Shark Reef & watch Ryan snorkel through
· Head to Gank Plank Falls- all of us ride together
· Go to Ketchakiddee Creek – Mason swim – we relax!
· Eat Lunch at Leaning Palms
· Get on Castaway Creek – (or leave if we want)
· Leave Typhoon Lagoon
· Take bus back to POP Century
· Change clothes and take bus to Animal Kingdom
· Enter & get show time for next Festival of Lion King
· Watch the last show of the day (Lion King)
· Get FP for Expedition Everest (Ryan & Shelly)
· Go on Kali River Rapids if line isn’t too long
· See Flights of Wonder
· Ride Expedition Everest (do the child swap)
· Leave Animal Kingdom
· Take bus back to POP
· Drive to Yacht Club Galley
· Dinner at 8:00pm
· Return to POP resort
What do ya think? Now, I know it sounds crazy for a 3 year old, but Mason sleeps long and hard (hence the later arrival times at the park), and then he's good to go until 10-11pm. We thought it would be different in WDW last year, but he proved us wrong, and outlasted both of us most of the time!
They sound like a good combination but I would do them in the opposite order. AK in the Am and TL PM. A few reasons--TL is usually less busy in the afternoon when people start heading home and a shower before dinner is always refreshing. Also, If you go to AK in the afternoon it always seems hotter than other parks and FP for EE will probably be gone by then an if you ride Kali you will most likely get all wet again. Since AK seems more important to you I would do it first and then TL.

My thoughts too. Your little one will have a blast.
I can't believe how well he can keep up.
Yeah, def do AK first, esp if you want to ride EE. In fact, if you could change and do this on Mon 5/15 instead, that is morning EMH for AK, and that would give you an extra hour to play with.
One thing I might suggest is to wear your clothes over your swimsuits and rent a locker. That way, you could just head straight to TL (via AK Lodge) instead of wasting a couple of hours transporting AK/Pop and Pop/TL.
