When is the cheapest time of year to go to Disney?

I know that there are value weeks and lots of discounts offered but what is the actual cheapest time of year to go to WDW?

Well for the past 3 years Disney has offered the free dining in August and September so to me that makes it the cheapest time to go because you don't pay for food. You can't beat that!!

So true! but... we just got back from a trip in March and were thinking of going in january or february but i am not sure if this is a "cheap" time to go? Can you get deals during these months?

I know that January and February are considered value season. Another thing to look into is the magical weeks of Disney where it is alot cheaper to go. I think they started that because it is the slowest times of year and you can get really good deals. If you go to Disney Online - The Official Home Page of The Walt Disney Company! and click on travel then Disney World you can look into the magical weeks of Disney. Also I have heard that the first two weeks of December are cheap too. Hope this helps!

Value Season is the cheapest time to go to Disney. It used to be the least crowded time too, but over the recent years the crowds have increased. (I guess they learned our secrets!)

If and when Disney offers free dining, the rooms are at Value pricing and your food is free...money wise, it's a great time to go, but the crowds are bigger than they would have been a few years ago.

The first week of December is a nice time to visit, but the crowds are getting a touch larger w/ the popularity of Mousefest.

I would have to say the least crowded time to visit would be January and early February. It's also cheap as it's still Value Season.

I would check out MouseSavers.com - Disney Discount - Disney World Discounts - Disneyland Discounts and look at the historical discounts. Getting an AP could help you to get much lower hotel rates at certain times of the year, as well.

In 2006, we went in January and it was a good deal. In addition to the lower room rates in general during this time, the Disney site had a code that you could use for an additional discount. They applied the discount upon request even though I already had made my reservation months before.
