Wink Disney Magical Express

Hello everyone quick question about Magical Express. Has anyone used it lately and how is it going? How long is it before you get your luggage? We leave in 37 days and staying at the Poly. Can't wait until our trip ! Also, anyone you know or possibly you yourself picked for any of the special Magical Dreams give aways? I read where a teen was in Stars Tours and his family was picked to spend the night in Cinderalla's castle. What fun that would be. Well, everyone have a great Disney day. Patty

I just used DME last week and it was fine. My luggage was late in arriving but I think it was because they had my name spelled wrong on the DME luggage tag. I called the front desk when we got back from the park and realized it wasn't there (and this was about 10 hours after we had checked in). They said they would check and get back to me and the luggage was at our room about 5 minutes later.

It depends on the time of day.

If it is in the busy times for Orlando airport, you tend to get it faster. (When the fill a van/truck load the leave and start delivering). Typically 2-4 hours from landing.

If it is a late flight .. you might not see them until morning.

In any event, take the initial 1/2 days needs in a carryon, and let the big stuff get delivered.

We used Magical Express this past May and had no problems. We were on a bud to WDW approx. 15mins. after we landed. We arrived at WDW around 11:30 AM and went straight to MK. Our luggage was waiting in our room when we got back.

We used DME on our trip this past April. We arrived in Orlando at 8:30pm. Out luggage arrived at our room at 1am. (we asked them to call us when our bags arrived and bring them right up). I think the standard is 3-5 hours.

Yep, we received the Million Dreams pin lanyards when we were at Typhoon Lagoon, and DW saw an older couple win a week-long trip to Disneyland... they were at Guest Services in EPCOT when the Dream Squad came in.

When DME first started back in '05, there were a few bugs. They were quickly worked out and the system has been operating very well ever since. I've used it many, many times now and truly love it!

I would say that my typical wait for a midday inbound flight was about 4 hours for it to arrive in the room.

Just remember to pack what you'll need for your day in the parks in a carryon bag. As soon as you check-in, you can head right to a park and not even worry about getting into a room. (Check whatever you don't need with you at Bell Services and they'll deliver that to the room too!)

Yep, that's what we did! Our flight arrived at 12:30 pm on April 30th and we stepped into AS Sports lobby at 1:40. I was quite impressed with that.....the drive itself is over 30 minutes! We checked some bags with bell services and head to DTD. We came back at 4:30 or so and when I went to bell services to retrieve my bags, they said they had been taken to my room with my luggage. I was so surprised and happy....didn't know they would do that!!

I have used DME 3 times and have had wonderful experiences every time!! It's free, easy and usually pretty quick....what more could you want??

just came back on June 24th. ME was great! We were on the bus that goes to the Poly and GF, the wait wasn't long for the bus. And they have a time schedulr to keep to so they don't wait for it to fill up totally. That saves time. Our luggage was delivered about 3hrs after we got to the hotel. I can't imagine not participating in ME next trip. It was so easy and stress free.

We were there in June had great luck with it. We arrived late (about 9:30 pm) there was no wait at all for the bus at the airport. It was probably about midnight before the luggage came (I was up!...too excited to sleep!) ... missing my DS's bag. They said they would check on it a bring it in the morning and in about 5 minutes they were back with it. The return trip was great... Eventhough we had to leave at the crack of dawn (you have to leave 3 hours before your scheduled flight) we checked in our luggage and got our boarding passes at the hotel before we left. No hassle at the airport! All of that and it is free! Can't beat it!

Smile Disney's Magical Express (ME)

Disney's Magical Express is a great service, and for the next few years, it's free. We have used it many times with no huge problems, it's just that we would like to have our luggage with us from the beginning from now on.

We did have a kink last October, when visiting Saratoga Springs. What happened was that we did have quick service from the airport to the resort, and even saw our luggage sitting on racks at Bell Services when we checked in, so we thought that we might get it sooner that the standard three hour wait time.

Instead, we had to retrieve it ourselves nine hours later. We still don't know why Bell Services didn't deliver it within a reasonable amount of time, no one would offer an explanation, not even an apology.

So really the problem did lie with ME, but with the Saratoga Springs Bell Services.

Oh well.....

Our luggage was in our room within an hour of our check-in last October. We got in late - after 10PM. No problems at all with DME for us!

We used it last month and it was great. We waited maybe 20 minutes at the airport before we were picked up. We went straight to TMK after we got checked in, and our bags were waiting for us when we got home. I don't know how long it took for t hem to arrive since we were at the park.
