Has anyone ever shipped a package home from the hotel? We went to the post office yesterday to get the flat rate boxes because we thought we payed for them then and just be able to pack the empty box, fill it up and drop it off at our hotel lobby. The lady at the post office gave us the box and said we paid for it (12.95) when we were shipping it. How does that work at the hotel? Anyone know? Any advice would be great.

If it's one of the pre-pay "flat rate" boxes for Priority Mail, then you can purchase the postage and apply it to the box when you pick it up from the post office before your trip. Keep it flat in your luggage and then stuff it with what you want to ship and take it to lobby concierge or the resort gift shop and they should handle it for you. (I've done this several times at different resorts and only had an issue with one CM -- and she was just being difficult, another CM handled it without problem.)

PS - if you set up a UPS account, you can do the same thing -- box it up in your room and take it to the gift shop to be shipped.
